Babies and stripes: we can never seem to get enough of either! (Or of this buttery-soft cotton, or of this dreamy color palette, or the simple pleasures of a basic pattern, or…) We designed this pattern to include some of our favorite attributes when it comes to knitting for kids: worsted weight, machine-washable, earth-friendly cotton, top-down, seamless construction–the hardest part will be picking out colors!

But what about for the not-so-little littles? This pattern is available in 3 sizes–12 month, 2T and 4T–and with color choices that are both nautical and classic, we think this sweater is destined to be your mini me’s first wardrobe staple.

This sweater was designed for one of our favorite styles of all time–the Breton stripe tee, popularized by Coco Chanel, Pablo Picasso, and of course, Brigitte Bardot. Looking for an even simpler version? Try our original Breton Bebe which was knit in from the bottom up, in pieces and seamed. (A very good project for a very beginning knitter.)

Sienna’s version is knit with color 2 as MC, color 11 as CC.
