We are thrilled to announce the October’s installment of the Sleeping Bear Yarn Club: Monarch’s Migration. Dyed for us by the talented Elysia of Yarn Ink in Calgary, Canada. Every autumn, the shoreline becomes a stage for something both fragile and astonishing. Monarchs gather in the trees, wings catching the light like stained glass—pausing, resting, preparing for the long journey south. This skein carries that fleeting moment: the hush of wings, the hush in your chest when you stop to watch. Soft pink blushes bloom like wings in the morning sun. Lavender and violet drift through the skein, a nod to twilight shadows as the butterflies cluster close. And threads of sky-washed blue move between them—light as air, tender as the season’s turning. It’s a colorway that feels part fairy tale, part ritual—an invitation to pause before the flock takes flight.
