Rigid Heddle Loom Class

Two Session Class

A weaving party! Learn how to weave using your rigid heddle loom. Our first project will be a 7” wide scarf or table runner. For our second project we will learn a pick-up pattern!

Supplies needed

• Rigid Heddle Loom, 10-inch width minimum, with 8-dent rigid heddle
•  Loom accessories: warping peg, clamps, sleying hook, 2 stick shuttles, pick up stick, warping cord loops (Presto loom only)
• Yarn week 1: worsted weight, smooth and tightly twisted plied, like Malabrigo Rios (available at the Wool and Honey shop across the street); 210 yards
• Yarn week 2: worsted weight, smooth and tightly twisted, 2 contrasting solid color or tonal colors, 150 yards of each color
• Scrap yarn, worsted, smooth, about 5 yards
• Notions: scissors, 6-inch rigid ruler, large eye yarn needle, notebook, pencil or pen,
• calculator
• cones, cakes or skeins are needed; no hanks.
