Purple Sensation Allium is the May 2025 installment of the Sleeping Bear Yarn Club. Dyed for us by the talented Robin of Rose Hill Yarns in Canada. It’s saturated purple and complementing green – bold just like the Allium flower itself.  Such a strong statement this plant makes. Unimaginably perfect stem, uniform, flawlessly round blossom on top. This flower makes a statement in its fashion show among the garden beds. It’s the show stopper that takes all our attention and the pollinators know it. This geometric plant can do no wrong – it’s an onion for Pete’s sake – and we are smitten.
