Mishigami is the May 2017 installment of the Sleeping Bear Yarn Club.Dyed exclusively for us by Jackie at Luna Grey Fiber Arts in Colorado, this handsome blue is reminiscent of the deepest depths of our freshwater ocean–Lake Michigan. The color is tonal and deep gray-blue–a dusky, rich neutral. The Bluefaced Leicester wool gives the skein strength and sheen, like the glassy surface of the lake. Our custom colorway will be the first order Jackie has dyed on her brand-new Ariel base–we are honored to be part of this yarn launch.

Mishigami is the Ojibwe word for the Great Lake we call Michigan–‘Big Water.’

Machine/hand wash cool, lay flat to dry for your piece’s longest life.
