Inquisitive Visitor was the February 2024 installment of the Sleeping Bear Yarn Club. Dyed exclusively for us by the wonderful Tammy of A Chick That Knitz in Edmond, OK. This colorway is our first assigned pooling project. A rich, blue leaning black along accents of cream. The touches of brown and rusty cranberry make for a soft, moody garment. An ode to our local wanderers that the neighbor caught on camera. Watching them scamper back to the woods when their breakfast at the birdfeeder was interrupted.

What is Assigned Pooling? Simply put, it’s a technique where you change stitches based on the color change in the yarn. The yarns will be dyed with long stretches of a base color then shorter strips of a contrasting color. We can’t wait to try out something new‑‑but what pattern should we start with?
