Farmstead Hollyhock was our July 2020 feature for the Sleeping Bear Yarn Club. Dyed exclusively for us by Deirdre of Fangirl Yarn in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, this deep, tonal purple is juicy and vibrant and leans red, like the deepest hue of these heritage perennials we love so much. Planted around historical farms all over northern Michigan, these flowers continue to bloom, year after year, bringing beauty to even the most bedraggled farms.
