Remember how we all can’t wait for Summer to begin? We get the itch for all the fun to be had. And before long, you have RSVP’d to four weddings, six graduation parties, two kids’ birthday pool parties (one you have to plan), and a family trip. We flip the script fast and pine for the Fall – structure, a routine. But who played that trick on us? Fall is packed into a high-paced regiment. The whiplash of these seasonal changes is enough to make us all cranky. Where did all the time for making go? You’d think we’d get used to this by now. There will always be someone telling you “Slow down,” “Don’t do so much” and “It won’t be like this forever.” If only it were that simple . . .

We can’t seem to morph into people living slow lives. Let’s give up that fight for now. So, we are testing something. Try it and tell us if this works for you. Take just a moment – a few seconds – of deep, saturated, concentrated “feels.” See that pink haze projected onto the island. Squeeze those sleeping babies in bed whispering deep love in their ears. We are thrilled to announce the October installment of the Sleeping Bear Yarn Club: Peeping For Gold. Late, but here with such meaning. Dyed exclusively for us by the wonderful Shireen and her team at The Blue Brick in Burlington, Ontario. This gradient colorway starts with a deep, rich gold moving ever so slowly to an uplifting shade. Those microscopic changes – those small intentions. What a transformation they can make. Here’s a perfect time in Northern Michigan to try out this theory. The colors on the trees change just a little each day and bring the Leaf Peepers out to take it all in. They block out time on their calendar with the real intention of noticing these treasures. Full panoramic views made entirely of precious one-of-a-kind leaves. It’s pure Gold.

Each package begins with a Ladybug (300 yds) skein in Peeping For Gold. But you can ‘Upgrade’ your skein to Husky (500 yds), Mammoth (800 yds), or Beast Mode (1200 yds). Also, if you want multiple single-skein projects, you can always get additional separate skeins of just the Ladybug.

‘Upgrade’ prices reflect the additional cost of added yardage REPLACING your original club skein (Ladybug.) Example: Beast Mode Upgrade = 1 gradient sweater-sized skein in your October package.

All-Over Gradient Sweater

Peeping For Gold will not be available in an all-over sweater kit BUT we thought of a close workaround. You can ‘Upgrade’ to Mammoth or Beast Mode PLUS order 2 ‘Additional Separate Skeins of Ladybug’ for the sleeves.
