Faust Cabin was our October 2022 feature for the Sleeping Bear Yarn Club. Dyed exclusively for us by the lovely Denise of Yoshi & Lucy in New York, this variegated skein is minty and cool, layered with speckles in lime green, fire orange, warm persimmon and coal black. Imagine peeking through your log cabin window, sipping a hot cup of coffee and gazing out over Big Glen Lake as the leaves put on a brilliant show, the pair of socks you’re knitting mirroring the scene beyond your window.

The Faust Cabin, built in 1929 for Mary and George Faust, is nestled next to Inspiration Point, a Leelanau landmark that overlooks Big Glen, Little Glen, the Narrows bridge and, if you strain your neck just right, the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. This historical cabin now belongs to the National Park.
