Carlson’s Fishery is the September 2023 installment of the Sleeping Bear Yarn Club. Dyed exclusively for us by the lovely Liz from Knitting Lizard Fibers in the Twin Cities, this colorway was dyed after Carlson’s, one of Northern Michigan’s oldest fishing families from the iconic village of Fishtown. ​​​​​​​Meant to capture the colors of their nets drying in the sun, this variegated skein is the weathered cedar shingles of the shanties, the twisted, hand-tied knots, a thousand tales of the one that got away‑‑all dipped in a wash of sage, lime and deep forest greens.
