Cleome is worked flat (sideways), increasing along one edge to create an asymmetrical triangle. Stitches are increased in pattern and then onward into the ribbing. The beautiful texture, easy yet interesting stitch patterns and the built-in slip stitch edge make knitting this shawl a fun and entertaining experience.
In the words of the designer…
“Inspired by the ethereal cleome blossoms that dance across Chilean landscapes, this shawl unfolds in layered stitches that mimic petals reaching for the sun.”
