For more than a decade, Northern Dreams Alpaca yarnhas graced the shelves of our Cedar storefront. Raised in nearby Empire by Kathy and Dave Easter, their alpaca farm is home to more than 40 huacaya alpacas in every natural color–creamy white, fawn, tawny, chocolate brown, rose gray‑‑and every shade in-between. Often blended with wool for strength and durability, the softness and luster of alpaca is a true tactile delight. The fact that the animals live less than 15 miles from the shop? It couldn’t get more locally grown than this.
