Our infamous Christmas party returns with all the festive cheer you’re used to, plus a little more! We are honored to feature our good friend, Michigan knitwear designer Andrea Mowry, at our annual holiday party on Saturday, December 3rd at 5pm t0 7pm. We’ll have our official Wool & Honey Gift Guide 2016, treats, kits, yarn galore….and a very special gift from us to each of you.

We’ll have all of Andrea’s best-selling designs on display for you to try on (Vintage Prim, Sheltered Poncho, the Om Shawl…and more!) and she’ll be teaching an intermediate brioche class from 10-2–a wonderful way to pick up something new for the holidays.

In this class, we will begin playing around with what makes brioche so special! When working brioche in two colors, a whole new world of color play is opened up to you! Discover how to blend colors and add depth thru contrast. We will also discuss using different fibers and weights together to really mix things up! We will learn how to increase and decrease in brioche, and how it goes far beyond just shaping your fabric, to create the appearance of intricate cables and lace!

While Andrea will give a quick overview of brioche basics, to get the most out of this class, students should be comfortable knitting the basic brioche knit and brioche purl stitches.
