Midsummer’s Day Note Card
Coreopsis, rose, wood lily, ragwort and hairy puccoon are among the wildflowers on the big dune just east of Pyramid Point in late June. A dense fog bank forms on the first hot days of summer when Lake Michigan is still cold.

Kristin Hurlin is well-known for her detailed ink drawings, a skill developed since 1964 when she received her first pen and ink set. Her illustrations have been published nationally for 35 years, winning numerous awards. An avid ethnobotanist, her print series clearly illustrates plant communities found in Northwood / Great Lake habitats.The sky, land and water here are so beautiful and ever-changing with the seasons, one can’t help but be inspired to produce great works. Kristin and her husband Paul May maintain an exquisite gallery in downtown Glen Arbor.
