Help every Thursday: We’ll be devoting our Thursday evening Open Knitting to the Moto Jacket KAL July 1st–July 30th–we’ll be here to help you if you get in a rut or need help navigating the pattern, but primarily it’ll be a chance for us to motivate each other.
15% Discount: the book, the needles AND the yarn. We’ll be knitting ours with Brooklyn Tweed Arbor, a DK-weight wool yarn that’s 100% grown, spun and dyed in the USA.
Prizes: Every single participant who completes their sweater will receive a Halus Hat kit pictured below (the pattern and one skein of the Brooklyn Tweed Quarry)–a $25 value. AND every single participant who completes their sweater will be entered in a drawing to win a $50 gift certificate to Wool & Honey, to use in-house or online.

The Moto Jacket has ultimate versatility. It can be worn three different ways: swingy and open, partially buttoned with a wide collar, or buttoned up completely with a sculptural collar.
The pictured sweater was knitted seamless from the top down. If you prefer seamed knits, a second set of instructions is included to knit the cardigan in pieces.
If you are in-between sizes, we suggest sizing up for this one. When choosing your size, it’s always a good idea to check your actual body measurements against all the measurements given in the pattern schematic.
Needles required–call us at (231) 228-2800 to order: • One 32” circular needle (circ) in size US 5 (3.75 mm)

100% American Targhee wool
145 yds–50 g
Purebred Targhee sheep from Montana and South Dakota lend us their distinctive fleece, a finewool with the softness of merino enhanced by longwool genetics for added durability. Arbor represents an exciting expansion for Brooklyn Tweed: working with new American partners, we’ve developed a DK-weight workhorse yarn, spun worsted for superior strength and stitch definition and dyed in a nuanced palette of 30 solid colors.
