This sweater means more to us than we can possibly say. Ever since we saw the first sneak peak of Joji Locatelli’s design (and knowing the stories behind it!), we’ve been bursting with happiness and love for our dear friends Tracie and Jodi–and so much pride for our little town of Cedar. We had the honor of hosting the Grocery Girls (and their extra special surprise guest Joji) here in July, and it was pure joy to see these friends enjoy each other’s company in this little part of the world we love so much.
December 13th – 19th: Order the yarn and needles now through December 19th. Everything will arrive in the store (or straight to your doorstep!) with plenty of time for you to cast on by January 1st. When you’re done, we’ll expect to see finished shots of you and your wrap! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, use #woolandhoney hashtag on Instagram or post on our Facebook page.
Help every Thursday: We’ll be devoting our Thursday evening Open Stitch to the Cedar Pullover KAL January 1st – 31st-–we’ll be here to help you if you get in a rut or need help navigating the pattern, but primarily it’ll be a chance for us to motivate each other.
15% Discount: the needles AND the yarn. We’ll be knitting ours with Kelbourne Woolens Perennial, a blend of superwash Merino, Suri alpaca and nylon in a rainbow of colorways. Need to order needles? Give us a call at (231) 228-2800 or send us an email–we’ll set you up with what you need.
Prizes: Every single participant who completes their sweater during the time frame will receive a Lake and Woods Knitter’s Salve + a Lip and Cheek tint–a $25 value–AND every single participant who completes their wrap will be entered in a drawing to win a Lake and Woods complete winter skin care kit, pictured here (a $75 value). These gorgeous products are made by our friend herbalist Kelly Kehl who has the storefront Swamp Angel across the street from ours in downtown Cedar.
The sample that Liz is wearing was knit in Raspberry in size 48.5″, giving her 10″ of positive ease.
In the words of the designer…..
“I designed this sweater in honor of my beautiful friend Jodi, as a tribute for her Birthday. Jodi likes minimal details, she likes circular yoke sweaters and cool fibers, so I picked a beautiful linen yarn to design this for her. In July 2019 we were so lucky to spend a week together visiting the town of Cedar. It was a time to relax, knit together and tell stories. I named this sweater to remind us of that wonderful time and place.”
