Breton Bebe Kit
Even though it would take the hottest of summer days for most of you to relinquish your knitting needles, there are still a select few people who consider knitting a winter-only activity. (Gasp!) We think you’ll make an exception with this week’s pattern. Knit in the brand new Quince & Co. Willet, this sweater is for the tiny person on your Christmas list. (Or now. You can knit it–and give it–now.) Willet is a brilliant new collaboration between Quince & Co. and California cotton growers–it’s a 100% USA grown, spun and dyed cotton….and it’s ecologically responsible, to boot. Soft, drapey and eco-friendly, Willet is the perfect choice for baby sweaters. We’ve knit ours in the classic Breton stripe combo of navy blue and white for the quintessential boating sweater, just in miniature. Because it’s never too early to build a wardrobe of classics.
And, because this is your project, you can choose from any of the nautical-themed colors below as your contrast color for a fresh variation on a theme.
Each kit will make one sweater (approximately 12 month size) and includes an easy-to-read pattern and three skeins of Quince & Co. Willet– two skeins in Sail (ecru) and one skein in your choice of contrast color. (Our sample is pictured with Starboard [navy] as the contrast color.) You’ll easily have enough leftover to knit a matching hat!
